Looking for Salvation?
Many people are looking for salvation, but they don’t know what it means. The Good News is:
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (Joh. 3:16,17.)
Thus, the way to salvation is Jesus.
God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life (1 Joh. 5:11, 12).
Jesus answered, ” I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me (Joh. 14:6).
When a man fell into sin, his connection with God was broken.
For the wages of sin is death (Rom. 6:23).
God’s rescue plan was to send his only Son Jesus Christ to Earth.
Christ died for us (Rom. 5:8), for our sins (1.Cor. 15:3). But God raised Him from the dead (Act. 13:30).
God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom. 5:8.)
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Crist Jesus our Lord (Rom. 6:23).
If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives (1. Joh. 1:10).
[…] for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23).
The fact that you do good deeds or belong to some congregation does not save you. These are good things, but they do not save you.
There is away that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death (Pro. 16:25).
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from your selves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no-one can boast (Eph. 2:8,9).
In reply Jesus declared: ”I tell you the truth, no-one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again” (or born from above). (Joh. 3:3.)
The only thing that saves you is faith in Jesus Christ:
Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved (Acts 16:31).
That if you confess with your mouth, ”Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (Rom. 10:9,10.)
… for, ”Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord [Jesus] will be saved.” (Rom. 10:13.)
Yet to all who received him [Jesus], to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God (Joh. 1: 12).
You can turn to Jesus and pray the Prayer of Salvation (or Sinner’s Prayer) in your own words (letting Jesus come into your life) or e.g. like this:
Dear Jesus, I know that you died on the cross for me. Please, forgive all my sins. Come and live into my heart. I receive you as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you for making me new. In Jesus’s name. Amen.

If you have just found Jesus, we recommend you to strengthen your faith by praying in your own words and reading the Bible e.i. the Word of God. The easiest way to start reading the Bible is to start with the New Testament and the Gospel of John or Mark.
It is also useful to visit some Christian congregation with born-again-believers. There, it is possible for you even to be baptised.
